Elphias Doge
Did Dumbledore and Elphias Doge have a relationship while at Hogwarts together? While this didn’t happen, many fans have enjoyed shipping certain couples together and creating headcanons in fandom that certain characters were queer.
Here are ten characters that fans wanted to be LGBT from the Harry Potter series.

Does Cho ever return Marietta’s feelings toward her? Draco was always clearly obsessed with Harry, and some fans, and even Tom Felton, feel this obsession might have been masking a romantic attraction. Also, many people felt that the way their relationship was handled wasn’t that positive and that having other examples of LGBT representation was necessary.
There was negative press surrounding the film in 2017, when Johnny Depp was cast as Grindewald.
The author voiced her support for casting Depp following earlier domestic abuse allegations made against him, according to the Associated Press. While that might not be the direction that the series went, many fans have loved exploring this relationship in fiction, and it does make some sense.

Harry Potter: 10 Characters Fans Wanted to Be LGBT
While the Harry Potter series does have two canon LGBT characters, many fans have felt like other characters would have been better choices for representation.
He noticed that Slughorn only has pictures of his students on his shelves and not children and wondered whether Slughorn might be gay. The relationship between Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy is at the core of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. While Remus is never identified as queer and he marries Tonks, many feel like it would make sense to have him be bisexual.
She would definitely make a positive role model of an older LGBT woman.
2. Many people have pointed out that there is a lot of subtext, a common way to hint at gay relationships without making them canon, between their relationship. Why does she tell on the DA after six months of attending their meetings? These two seem like they might have a budding romance, and many wish that this would be confirmed.

While interpretations in fandom vary, many people think that Sirius would make sense as a gay character. I think all of these questions can be easily answered if we interpret Marietta as having romantic feelings for Cho. Cho wants a friend to join the DA with her, and Marietta sees this as an opportunity to prove her loyalty and affection to Cho. Rowling Confirms Some Characters in Her Books and Movies Are Gay Everywhere Except in the Books or the Movies," another Twitter user wrote.
One person suggested characters that Rowling should have "developed as queer" in the books. He might be realizing a trans identity, or perhaps he enjoys dressing in drag and has created a drag club for other wizards.
First of all, Tonks is just a really cool character. Of course, everyone has their own ships and headcanons, and there is no shortage of remarkable fan art depicting them. Memorizing his schedule, taking pictures of him, trying to bring him grapes in the hospital wing – how else does a middle schooler know how to show his affection?
“This whole metaphor of running and hiding, just as a closeted metaphor, is really, really strong,” said ter Kuile. He sees this particularly in the scene when Dumbledore and Harry go to Slughorn’s house, and to him, it explains the close but complicated friendship between two characters with such different personalities.
There is some sort of camaraderie in this scene, some sense of shared experience.
Colin Creevey
Colin Creevey is overenthusiastic about everything, but his obsession with Harry seems like an obvious 11-year-old crush to me. Some fans, however, are perturbed that these characters don't actually identify as gay in the books or movies.
In a special features interview for the "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" BluRay release, Rowling confirmed a relationship between characters Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
