Izuru doesn’t seem to care much either way, but Nagito is shown quite blatantly to have some sort of crush on him. It seems that luck is on his side in the most eccentric ways — a twisted notion that compliments Nagito's strange character.

In his free-time events, it's revealed that he was diagnosed with both frontotemporal lobe dementia and stage 3 malignant lymphoma, which are two serious diseases for anyone to deal with, let alone a high school student.

  • kingsucci. In-game, Nagito has an obsession with Hajime Hinata, seeing him as the embodiment of hope. He also looks very distressed when Hajime listens to him and leaves.

Particularly the denial that he is at all attracted to men.
I find this really strange, because Nagito Komaeda is one of, if not the most the most unambiguously LGBTQ characters in DR2.

    PART 1, HAJIME HINATA & DANGANRONPA 2

This part is going to be really obvious for a lot of you, but it must be gone over for this to be complete.

The second is about an implied sexual encounter he has with someone who is “the strongest final light of hope”, who is possibly meant to be Izuru, as he is called SHSL Hope. Danganronpa's Ultimate Lucky Student is one of the more twisted characters in the entire franchise, with his motives and ideals being a mystery all the way to his untimely end.

It helps that the characters in this series have consistently proven to be extremely memorable and engaging in their own right as well.

One such character who has been a fan-favorite since his debut is Nagito Komaeda. Even the voice actors of both characters are the same in the Japanese dub!

    PART 3, HAJIME HINATA & DANGANRONPA 2.5 + DANGANRONPA 3: HOPE
When Nagito wakes up from his coma dream in DR2.5, Hajime is standing over him in a way that parallels the beginning of DR2. He also says exactly what Nagito said at the beginning of DR2.

At the end of DR3:Hope, Hajime is distracted from imagining Chiaki by Nagito, and the last time either is shown in canon (outside of the fake mastermind video) is eating together on the boat back to Jabberwock Island. (Turn on Captions)

PART 2, IZURU KAMAKURA & DANGANRONPA 3: DESPAIR

Nagito’s reactions to Izuru Kamakura in DR3:D, the prequel anime series.

For the first two, those are a reaction to giving him a gift he likes, and just talking to him randomly in chapter 3.

    PART 4, HIS CHARACTER SONGS

Nagito has 3 character songs, “Zansakura -zanka-”, “Absolute Hope Birthday”, and “Poison ~Deadly Drug~”

The first one has nothing particularly of note.

    (Also partially mistranslated but w/e.)

Nagito isn’t ever really shown to be attracted to women in any canon material, only in very questionably canon marketing material or scenes that are stated by him to be lies and would be extremely ooc for him to have really done. • Nagito_The_Lucky.

The fact that he was almost going to die from the Despair Disease is indicative of just how dangerous his situation really was.

6 His Romantic Preferences Might Not Be Set In Stone

For the most part, Nagito's sexuality is almost never a point of discussion in Danganronpa, since it isn't really relevant to the plot.
