Syl says he is studying under Gregorio de la Vega, who is known by his alter ego - Extraño.

Tasmanian Devil, AKA Hugh Dawkins, is basically a were-Tasmanian devil. At that time, Aqualad and Dreamer were said to be part of the JLQ roster for that pitch, which is separate from the story in this anthology.

DC Pride #1 has been released and as promised, a story is included that presents the latest Justice League iteration. It was around this time that the Tasmanian Parliament rejected a bill to decriminalize homosexuality, and Tasmanian LGBTQI+ activists actually went to the UN to apply international pressure. Also, I hate this.

Basically every former Global Guardian was erased by the New 52, but Hugh finally reappeared in 2017’s Midnighter and Apollo #6, where it was revealed that he is now married to Extraño, DC’s first out superhero, and they live in Lima with their daughter.

But this Icemaiden was named Tora Olafsdotter, and she did not have blue skin.

The mystery (well, the continuity error) wasn’t solved until after Tora died in battle in 1994. While they were first introduced as villains of the Doom Patrol, they have become common enemies of teenage teams, the Teen Titans and Young Justice.
